sportsclues – details
What is a sportsclue?
We refer to as a ‘sportsclue‘ your User Contribution that you post each time in the Activity Stream about any public sports action or event (game, match, player,˙ score, fantasy & more) together with your reasons why, and, optionally, your media and links that you choose to embed from your external sources and/or any Poll that you create and post in the Activity Stream.
Your sportsclues can prompt Comments, Replies, Poll questions and votes cast on Poll questions from other users (generally referred to by us as ‘User Interactive Content’). Sportsclues can also prompt Messages from Friends, Mentions (@username), invitations to Groups and can help a user achieve ‘Featured’ status.
You can compare your sportsclues to real sports action outcomes, sportsclues trends, your Friends’ and Members’ sportsclues, Members’ Polls and sportsclues National Polls.
Do you have the edge? sportsclues Members solve the mystery of any sports action.
What is an ‘Action’ sportsclue?
We refer to as a ‘Action‘ ‘sportsclues‘ your User Contribution content that you post each time in the Activity Stream about any public sports action event before the event takes place (i.e. such as a game to be played or scheduled in the future) together with your reasons why, and, optionally, your media and links that you choose to embed from your external sources and/or any Poll that you create and post in the Activity Stream.
An ‘Action‘ ‘sportsclues‘ typically includes the keyword ACTION and one (1) corresponding keyword related to your sportsclue: WIN or LOSE or TIE or DRAW. Keywords do not need to be capitalized or bold.
An ‘Action‘ ‘sportsclues‘ typically includes selection of a corresponding button: WIN or LOSE or TIE or DRAW in the Activity Stream that will result in a color-coded border around the sportsclue in Sitewide displays of the Activity Stream.
WIN is border green. LOSE is border red. TIE is border blue. DRAW is border yellow.
Additional optional keywords such as EVENT and DATE and LOCATION can be included in an ‘Action‘ ‘sportsclues‘ to better describe a specific sports action (examples: a game, a match, a race, a meet or any other type of sports action event).
An example of a popular ‘Action‘ sportsclues‘ format could be: “(insert name of a team) will win against (insert name of an opposing team) on date (insert date) in the sports action at the event (insert name of event) in location (insert city) because they’ve had a better season.” Keywords do not need to be bold, italicized or capitalized.
Popular ‘Action‘ ‘sportsclues‘ are entered in clear and straightforward way using keywords to describe sports action.
What is an ‘Event’ sportsclue?
We refer to as a ‘Event’ ‘sportsclue‘ your User Contribution that you post each time in the Activity Stream about any public sports action event such as a specific game or match or race or meet (or any other type of sports event) together with your reasons why, and, optionally, your media and links that you choose to embed from your external sources and/or any Poll that you create and post in the Activity Stream.
An ‘Event’ ‘sportsclue‘ is a listing of a sports event and typically includes the keywords: EVENT followed by (insert the name of the game, match, race, etc.) and DATE followed by (insert the date) and LOCATION followed by (insert city, country).
An example of a popular ‘Event’ sportsclue‘ format could be: “event (team 1) versus (team 2) on date (insert date) in location (insert city)“.
Keywords do not need to be capitalized, bold or italicized.
Additional keywords can be added to an ‘Event’ ‘sportsclue‘ (examples such as: GAME or MATCH, or RACE or others) to further describe a sports action event. See: Keywords.
If your sportsclue describes a sports action within an ‘EVENT‘, more granular keywords (examples such as: PLAY or DOWN or INNING or SET or RUN or SHOT or others) can also be added to your ‘Event’ sportsclue‘.
Popular ‘Event’ ‘sportsclues’ can also include a name of a sports action event (example: [insert name of brand sports event here]’) to help prompt more ‘Comments’ by sportsclues Members, and to help make ‘Search’ easier and to improve ‘Search’ results.
Popular ‘Event’ ‘sportsclues‘ are entered in clear and straightforward way using keywords to describe sports action.
What is a ‘Legacy’ sportsclue?
We refer to as a ‘Legacy’ ‘sportsclue‘ your User Contribution that you post each time in the Activity Stream about any past (historical) public sports action player, team, event, or individual play (ex. greatest ‘Hail Mary’, amazing ‘Last Minute Score’, ‘Incredible Shot” and or much more) together with your reasons why, and, optionally, your media and links that you choose to embed from your external sources and/or any Poll that you create and post in the Activity Stream.
A ‘Legacy’ ‘sportsclue‘ should include the keyword LEGACY followed by a brief description that clearly identifies the event followed by keyword DATE (insert the date) and the keyword LOCATION (insert city, country) followed by your description of the legacy sports action.
An example of a popular ‘Legacy’ ‘sportsclue‘ format is: “event (team 1) versus (team 2) on date (insert date) in location (insert city) was the greatest legacy game ever“.
Adding a keyword phrase such as ‘Hail Mary’, ‘Last Minute Score’, ‘Incredible Shot’, ‘Greatest of All Time” can better identify your ‘Legacy’ ‘sportsclue‘ making search by ‘Legacy’ keyword phrases much easier.
Keywords do not need to be bold, capitalized or italicized.
Since ‘Legacy’ ‘sportsclue‘ often describe actual historical sports action events, confirming correct dates, locations, and names first can help to make searching easier and improve search results.
Popular ‘Legacy‘ ‘sportsclues‘ are entered in clear and straightforward way using keywords to describe sports action.
What is a ‘General’ sportsclue?
We refer to as a ‘General’ ‘sportsclue‘ your User Contribution that you post each time in the Activity Stream about public sports action that is not an ‘Action’ or an ‘Event’ or a ‘Legacy’ sportsclue together with your reasons why, and, optionally, your media and links that you choose to embed from your external sources and/or any Poll that you create and post in the Activity Stream.

Keywords
Why add ‘Keywords’ to a sportsclue?
Adding keywords can help make your sportsclues easier to search and improve search results.
More than everyday conversation, keywords can help other Users better understand the meaning of your sportsclues because expressions of worldwide sports action events can be different.
Best sportsclues are entered using keywords in a structured way to describe your sports action (see: ‘How to add multiple ‘Keywords’ to a sportsclue’).
The sportsclues platform can involve new language learning that can recognize anonymized text used in sportsclues and ways of expression. The role of keywords will likely be reduced over time.
Are ‘Keywords’ required to be added to a sportsclue?
No.
However, an ‘Action’ sportsclue typically includes \: (1) keyword: WIN or LOSE or TIE or DRAW and selection of (1) corresponding button in the Activity Stream to improve search and search results.
Similarly, an ‘Event’ sportsclue should include the keyword ‘EVENT‘ to improve search and search results.
A ‘Legacy’ sportsclue should include the keyword ‘LEGACY‘ to improve search and search results.
Keywords do not need to be bold or capitalized or italicized.
See: Keywords.
How to add multiple ‘Keywords’ to a sportsclue.
Keywords are entered as text similar to normal conversation in a structured way in the Activity Stream window as part of your sportsclue User Contribution.
For example, adding the keyword EVENT together with keywords DATE and LOCATION, a popular ‘Event’ sportsclue format can be: “(insert name of team 1) will win against event (insert name of team 2) on date (insert date) in location (insert city) because their performance this season has been better“. Bold and italics are not necessary.
Adding keywords PLAYER and TEAM with the keyword PLAY about a particular past action can produce a popular ‘Legacy’ sportsclue format such as: “player (John Doe), wide receiver for team (insert name of team) made an all time greatest play with his incredible reception in the last minute“. Bold and italics are not necessary.
Any combination of keywords can be added to help make your sportsclues easier to search and to improve search results.
Popular sportsclues are entered in clear and straightforward way using keywords to describe sports action.

How to add a ‘Poll’ to a sportsclue.
We refer to a ‘Poll’ as your User Contribution that expresses your question and your possible choices posted in the Activity Stream including added to a sportsclue on which you request Members vote that generates voting results (we refere to as ‘Interactive User Content’).
A ‘Poll’ can be posted in the Activity Stream and can be ongoing or you can enter a Poll closing date & time in the provided field.
Enabled: users can set poll closing date and time. / Disabled: polls will always remain open for votingon an ongoing basis. As Members cast their votes, the results are automatically updated and displayed showing the percentile of votes cast by Members in real time.

Include the keyword POLL in your ‘Poll Question’.
A popular example of a ‘Poll Question’ entered in the Activity Stream is (example: “Poll: Who will win the action, the game on date (insert date) in location (insert city) ?” Bold and italics are not necessary.
The above ‘Poll’ example, added as an ‘Action’ sportclue, can include the keyword ACTION and typically selects one corresponding button: WIN or LOSE or TIE or DRAW in the sportsclues Activity Stream.

Up to (5) possible ‘Poll Option Fields’ can be created and entered for a ‘Poll’. The type of ‘Poll Question’ can guide how many ‘Poll Option Fields’ are needed for a particular ‘Poll’.
A popular example of an ‘Event’ ‘Member Poll Question’ is: (example: “Poll: How many points will player (insert name of player) score in the event (insert name of the game) on date (insert date) in location (insert city)?” Italics and bold are not necessary.
This ‘ Poll’ example, added as an ‘Event’ sportclue, can include keywords POLL and EVENT and could provide (depending on the type of sports action such as a basketball game) three (3) ‘Poll Option Fields’. Possible choices could be: (less than 10) as Poll Option Field #1, (10 or less than 20) as Poll Option Field #2 and (20 or less than 30) as Poll Option Field #3.
A popular example of a ‘Legacy’ ‘Poll Question’ is: (example: “Poll: Who is the greatest (insert name of league) legacy team of all time (out of top 5)?” Bold and italics are not necessary.
This ‘Poll’ example, added as a ‘Legacy’ sportclue, can include keywords POLL and LEGACY and would require all five (5) ‘Poll Option Fields’ completed each field providing one team on which other Members can vote.
Check the tickbox to optionally hide live ‘Poll Results’ from Members who have not voted yet.
To optionally enter a ‘Follow Up Message” (a brief message to be associated with a ‘Poll’ such as ‘Thank you for voting’), enter text in the provided field.
